Educational establishments can be the beacon of hope, equality and safety that children and youth can experience. This is especially important if they do not get to experience hope, equality and safety in their families of origin. Many LGBTQIA+ students expect specific strategies from school leadership teams to help them feel included and safe.
In my experience it has been a privilege to work alongside a selected group of student leaders who receive my basic mental health and well-being bespoke training package to become confident and competent LGBTQIA+ peer supporters to others within their communities.

As a qualified teacher for 22 years working within primary, middle and high schools across the world, I can cater workshops for differing cultural perspectives.
